CAIVS generates the log file `caivs.log` which is a structured text
|
|
|
file. It serves to catalog parameters as selected in `caivs.par` and to
|
|
|
record the conversion process using a brief information profile. The
|
|
|
profile contains the snapshot‘s cycle number and physical time as well
|
|
|
as the maximal refinement level of the output mesh and number of grid
|
|
|
blocks in the output file. In case of a snapshot sequence being
|
|
|
processed each generated output file gets an entry in `caivs.log`.
|
|
|
Finally, `caivs.log` stores the minimum and maximum of each variable
|
|
|
over the computational domain and taken over the timeline of a snapshot
|
|
|
sequence.
|
|
|
|
|
|
If a *code-controlled* exception occurs during runtime a message about
|
|
|
the type of exception is written to `caivs.log` before CAIVS is
|
|
|
terminated. |
